First, thank you to the 2300 survey participants who helped reassure me that I wouldn't lose you through this. I was surprised to see that almost half of you said $5/mo or more was a fair price! It's been a fairly stressful year building up to this, so thank you for your support.
With that said, I'm not here to squeeze every penny out of you. Ensuring Flight Crew View’s quality and (most importantly) affordability has always been a top priority. In fact, the current price hasn’t changed in over a decade!
The new monthly subscription will be $2.29/mo (usd) with a discount for annual subscriptions (roughly one month free). This will help me bring on additional help to continue supporting and expanding the app. With these resources, I aim to deliver even more value through new features, improved reliability, and enhanced support.
For new hires, there’s a free 2-month trial followed by a 6-month introductory period at $0.99/mo to help through the first year. Additionally, any new users who started a monthly subscription within the last six months won't be eligible for the new introductory period under Google's and Apple's rules. I will send a gift code instead to offset the difference.
Rest assured, this price increase will allow me to continue improving Flight Crew View and deliver the best possible experience for you. Your continued support is crucial for these advancements.
This change will go into effect in the next few days. For those of you currently subscribed, you will get a 30-day notice prior to your next renewal from Apple or Google with an option to opt-out (cancel your subscription) if you do not agree to this change. If your next renewal is within 30 days, it will renew at the old rate and then you will get a notice 30 days prior to your next renewal.
