A Personal Apology

First, I want to sincerely apologize for being unresponsive over the past couple of months. Shortly after raising prices to fund new hires and improvements to Flight Crew View, my younger brother, Jonathan Murray, passed away unexpectedly, and I stepped away from the app for a while to process and deal with family matters.

Unfortunately, this meant that customer service and responsiveness, as well as feature development, suffered during this period. For this, I'm truly sorry, and will be donating most of the profit over this period to charity (more below).

Remembering My Brother

My brother, Jon, was instrumental in the early days in helping me get Flight Crew View off the ground. His encouragement and support were pivotal to overcoming initial hurdles and launching the app that's now an integral part of all of our daily routines.

Prior to that, Jon served as a U.S. Marine during the initial stages of the second war in Iraq in 2003. After returning home, he faced significant challenges, including PTSD and traumatic brain injury (TBI), which exacerbated other mental health issues. Despite these struggles, he remained one of my strongest supporters. His experiences-and the mental health challenges he faced afterward-inspire me now to give back to charities focused on mental health and veteran support.

A Donation in His Honor

Given that I stepped away from the app after increasing subscription prices, I've decided not to profit from this period. Instead, nearly all profit earned during the last couple of months will be donated to charities focused on mental health awareness and veteran support, as well as a few of the things he loved personally. I’ll finalize these plans soon and update you at that time with more info.

We're Hiring!

Otherwise, in order to ensure consistent, reliable customer service and responsiveness going forward, I'm immediately hiring at least two Flight Attendants to join the Flight Crew View team to help with customer support. One of these positions may also include responsibilities related to social media and community engagement.

If you’re interested or know someone who would be a great fit, please visit the hiring page to learn more (Please note: The application window has closed.):

Join the Flight Crew View Team.

What's Next

After I onboard these new team members and finish a couple ongoing projects, I'll also be looking to add programming assistance. Another hiring announcement will follow in the coming months.

Thank You

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this challenging period. I'm truly grateful for the incredible community that has formed around Flight Crew View.

Warm regards,
