Spirit Crew Resources and FCV Account Guidance

This page will be updated only when there is FCV-related information to share.

Looking for the newest information?

Jump to the latest FCV updates and frequently asked questions, including Spirit email access, Flica access, flight history exports, LogTen sync, subscription questions, and flight notifications.

We are very sorry for what Spirit crew members are facing. Flight Crew View will continue supporting Spirit users in the ways FCV appropriately can, including account access, available history, subscription guidance, and transition support.

This page is intended to help Spirit crew members preserve useful information, manage FCV account settings, and understand what to do if your airline or employment situation changes.

Current FCV status: Spirit Airlines has ceased operations. FCV will continue to make available any Spirit-related account, history, and app features that remain technically available through FCV.

Schedule syncing and future updates may stop working or become unavailable as the underlying Spirit or Flica data sources change or go offline. This page will be updated with FCV-specific information as needed.

Scope of this page: This page is for FCV app, account, subscription, and data-access guidance. It is not official Spirit communication and does not provide employment, legal, benefits, union, political, or company-policy guidance.

For employment, benefits, union-related communications, advocacy efforts, or company-specific questions, please rely on official company and union sources, as those sources will have the most up-to-date information.

If you are a Spirit crew member, here are the most useful steps to review first. Each item links to more detail below.

  1. Update FCV to the latest version.
This helps make sure you have the newest fixes, compatibility updates, and support tools.
  2. Save any schedule, trip, or logbook information you may personally need.
FCV includes an export option for available flight history. Pilots can also use the free Tail Number Lookup tool to help fill in missing tail numbers from older flights using DOT BTS data.
  3. Make sure your FCV account uses a personal email address.
Spirit email access appears to be unavailable for many users. Updating FCV to a personal email now can help preserve account access and allow flight history exports to reach you.
  4. Review your subscription renewal date and manage auto-renewal if needed.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple or Google. Canceling auto-renewal prevents future charges.
  5. Update FCV if you move to another airline.
If your new airline is already supported, you can change your airline in the app. If it is not supported yet, let us know.
  6. Request FCV credit if you transfer to another supported airline.
If you had remaining time on your Spirit FCV subscription and later join another FCV-supported airline, FCV can provide a code for the unused time.
  7. Contact FCV support only if you need app or account help.
Please do not send sensitive employment, legal, medical, benefits, or HR documents.

Privacy reminder: Please do not send sensitive employment, medical, disciplinary, legal, or benefits documents to FCV support. A short description of what you need help with is enough.

Latest FCV Updates and FAQs

Below are the most common FCV-related questions and updates since Spirit ceased operations. This section is the best place to check first if you have already read this page before.

Flight History Export

You can download your Flight History in the app: app menu > Export to File > Full History to Email.

LogTen Sync

Changing Your FCV Account Email

Some users are seeing errors when trying to change their FCV account email. This may happen if the personal email address is already attached to another FCV account, even if that happened accidentally in the past.

Spirit users still appear to have Flica access for now. If changing your email does not work, try this workaround while Flica access is still available:

  1. Log out of FCV.
  2. Log back in using your personal email address.
  3. Choose Continue as a crewmember.
  4. Add your Flica credentials.
  5. If FCV recognizes a duplicate account, follow the prompts to transfer your history, subscription, chat, friends, and related account information.

If you no longer have access to the email on your FCV account and the steps above do not work, contact FCV support with a short description of the issue.

Flight Tail Lookup Tool Date Range

The FCV Flight Tail Number Lookup tool currently goes back to 1995. However, it appears that Spirit did not report BTS data before 2015, so that tool does not have tail numbers available for Spirit flights prior to 2015.

Flight Notifications

FCV gate, flight-status, delay, and similar flight notifications for Spirit have been turned off. However, you may still receive some ground stop or delay program notifications for the next few weeks.

A Personal Note from Bob

I’ve been through both an airline closure and a furlough at a different airline. I remember the uncertainty, the rumors, the waiting, and the pressure it puts on families and future plans.

This one is also personal for me. I have many friends at Spirit, and I used to commute home on your late LGA-ORD flight countless times. Spirit crews saved me from spending another night in the crashpad so many times, and I was always treated exceptionally well by everyone from the gate and ramp teams to the flight and cabin crews. I can't thank you enough for that.

FCV was built for crew members, and I know this industry can change people’s lives with very little warning. I don’t want to speculate beyond confirmed information or repeat details that may change quickly, and FCV can’t answer company, union, legal, benefits, or political-action questions. But I do want Spirit crews to know that I’m paying close attention and will help in the ways FCV appropriately can.

That means keeping supported FCV tools working as long as the required data remains available, helping users preserve available account and history information, and assisting crews who may transition to another supported airline.

I’m sorry you’re facing this. I’ll keep this page focused on practical, accurate FCV-related information that may help you feel a little more prepared going forward.

Keeping the App Updated

Using the latest version of FCV helps make sure you have the newest fixes, compatibility updates, and support tools:

Saving Information for Your Records

If you may need schedule, trip, or logbook information later, review what is available in FCV and save anything you personally need.

You can download your Flight History into a spreadsheet file in the app: app menu > Export to File > Full History to Email.

If a data source becomes unavailable, FCV may not be able to recreate information that was not already available in your account, so saving anything important sooner is recommended.

FCV Flight Tail Lookup

To support Spirit pilots who may need help filling in the gaps in their logbook, FCV recently created a free and publicly available Flight Tail Lookup tool.

This tool may help fill in missing tail numbers using publicly available flight data. It is intended as a reference tool and should be reviewed against your own records before relying on it for logbook updates.

Screenshot reminder: Be careful when saving or sharing screenshots. Schedules, pairings, hotels, employee numbers, crew names, phone numbers, and other operational details may be sensitive.

Switch Your FCV Account to Your Personal Email

Several people have lost access to their Flight Crew View account or no longer have access to their flight history or friends because they switched airlines or lost access to their airline email.

You can avoid this by making sure your Flight Crew View account is set up under your personal email address.

You can update your email address in the app: app menu > Settings > Change Email. If you have any trouble, some people have had to log out of the app and then log back in and then try again, but please let us know if you have any trouble with it. It is much easier to update it now than to try to recover it after the fact.

Subscription Options

FCV subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google are managed by the app store where the subscription was started. FCV does not have the ability to issue partial refunds for all app-store subscriptions directly.

If FCV is no longer useful to you, please review your renewal date and manage your subscription through Apple or Google using the links or steps below. Canceling auto-renewal will prevent future charges, but it does not automatically refund past charges.

Any refund requests must be submitted through the app store where the subscription was purchased and are subject to Apple or Google policies.

Annual subscription note: FCV cannot issue partial refunds for all app-store subscriptions directly because Apple and Google manage subscription billing and refund decisions.

At the same time, I do not want FCV to simply benefit from unused annual subscription time caused by this shutdown. In similar situations in the past, I have made goodwill donations to organizations such as Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. I expect to do something similar here after I have a clearer picture of the overall impact.

This would be a goodwill gesture from Flight Crew Apps, not a replacement for any refund request you may choose to submit through Apple or Google.

Reviewing Your Subscription on iPhone / iPad

Tap here to: Manage your Apple App Store Subscriptions, or

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select Flight Crew View.
  5. Review your renewal date and available subscription options.

Reviewing Your Subscription on Android

Tap here to: Manage your Google Play Store Subscriptions, or

  1. Open the Google Play app.
  2. Tap your profile icon.
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions.
  4. Tap Subscriptions.
  5. Select Flight Crew View.
  6. Review your renewal date and available subscription options.

Changes are handled by Apple or Google and may take effect based on your current plan, renewal date, and app-store account settings.

Reminder: Flight Crew View offers free Friends and Family access for users who are not actively syncing an airline schedule. If you wish to keep using FCV for free to stay in contact with friends or access available history, you can remove your airline schedule sync account from the app: app menu > Settings > Airline Schedule Sync or Flica Account.

Before removing your airline schedule sync account, make sure you have saved or exported any information you may need.

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through Apple or Google using the links or steps above.

Refund requests: Refund decisions are handled by Apple or Google through their app-store processes. FCV support cannot process partial-refund requests by email.

Moving to Another Airline

If you move to another FCV-supported airline, you can update your airline in the app: app menu > Settings > Airline Schedule Sync.

If you move to another airline that FCV does not currently support, let us know via the Contact Developer option in the app's menu. We track requests as we evaluate future airline support, but we cannot guarantee support for every airline.

Credit for Users Who Transfer to Another Supported Airline

If you transfer from Spirit to another FCV-supported airline and still had unused time remaining on your Spirit FCV subscription, contact FCV support after you are active at your new airline. FCV can provide a code for the unused time so you can continue using the app at your new airline.

Please wait until you are active at your new airline before requesting this credit. When you contact support, include the email address on your FCV account, your former airline, your new airline, and whether you subscribed through Apple or Google.

This credit option is for users who transfer to another FCV-supported airline. It is separate from app-store refund requests, which must be handled through Apple or Google.

Topics Outside FCV Support

FCV cannot provide guidance on employment status, furloughs, benefits, payroll, jumpseat rights, pass travel, union matters, advocacy efforts, political action, bankruptcy proceedings, or company policy.

For employment, benefits, union, or company-specific questions, please rely on official Spirit, union, government, or benefits-provider sources rather than screenshots, rumors, or reposted information.
